Development Plans for 175 acres in train...

Make a Difference has a long term lease over a stunning patch of land in Kangaroo Valley.  This is where we take the children and young people we help for weekend camps.

With assistance from the NSW State Government our plan is to undertake a low-key, environmentally sensitive development to create a permanent campsite on the property.

The wonderful David Earp from TKD Architects has been helping us and we've now got our first look at how the campsite might look.  Check it out.

Spruson & Ferguson helping yet again

Intellectual Property specialists firm Spruson & Ferguson have been long time supporters of Make a Difference.  In March 2014, Mandy Miles and John Gelagin paid a visit to talk to some enthusiastic Spruson's folks about what's involved in being a leader on our young people's retreats.   Thanks guys - volunteers are the lifeblood of what we do so we're very grateful for your support.

Make a Difference employs first frontline staff

Make a Difference has made a significant decision to employ its first frontline staff member.

After 13 years of running services relying solely on volunteer labour, the Board felt the time was right to take the next step.

"We're proud of the fact that for so long we delivered services using only volunteers" said Director Tim Keith.

"But the time is right for us to employ someone so that we can significantly increase the number of young people we help."

Terra Firma to support Make a Difference

Consulting firm Terra Firma has entered into a charity partnership with Make a Difference for the next year.  John Gelagin from Make a Difference spoke at the Sydney office monthly briefing in September and introduced Make a Difference to staff.

Naturally, Make a Difference is thrilled to have this wonderful organisation involved and are looking forward to a productive working relationship with them.
